Assessment
Return to About Freedom Institute main page.
Evaluating the extent of chemical dependence in the individual, while helping family and significant others recognize their response to addiction, is the first step to recovery.
Contrary to most people’s impression, the quantity of alcohol or drugs ingested means little. A consultation with professionals can help dependents and significant others evaluate behavior in order to plan the best course of action. This usually entails the difficult task of breaking through the defense shield that dependents and their families build around themselves. The earlier professional advice is obtained, the sooner treatment can begin for everyone affected.
Assessments are conducted as the first step to recovery. A counselor from Freedom Institute’s team of highly skilled clinical staff is matched to each individual and family seeking assessment at the Institute to ensure a sensitive, confidential and thorough evaluation.
