Miss Representation Screening Makes Lasting Impression

Our screening of Miss Representation last night was a big success! Co-sponsored with Common Sense Media and the Nightingale-Bamford School, this powerful and provocative film invited parents, students and educators to think about the ways in which women and girls are mis-represented in the media. Even more importantly, the film poignantly illustrates the psychological damage that is inflicted on both girls and boys by the hyper-sexualized and misogynistic ways in which women are portrayed in popular culture, from movies to politics.
