Coping During Covid-19: Use DBT TIPP Skill: I=Intense Exercise

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is at the core of all Freedom Institute's evidence-based clinical services and crisis survival strategies are at the heart of DBT Skills.  Here are some simple things you can do at home to reduce feelings of distress.  These skills go straight to the body to lower activity of the central nervous system and bring relief.

DBT Skills: TIPP I=Intense Exercise
TIPP stands for Temperature, Intense exercise, Paced breathing, and Paired muscle relaxation, all easy and beneficial to calm ourselves down.

Click on the video below to see Caroline Hill, LMHC, Freedom Institute’s Admissions Manager, demonstrate TIPP Skill I for Intense Exercise.
