Jocelyn Fraum, Psy.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Jocelyn Fraum is a clinical psychologist with 10+ years of experience supporting clients with substance use disorders and trauma. Jocelyn provides research-backed, compassionate treatment for substance use. Jocelyn integrates trauma treatments (DBT, STAIR) with CBT, CBT for insomnia, and Motivational Interviewing, helping clients get to the root of their suffering while developing concrete, practical skills.

Before joining Freedom Institute, Jocelyn was a staff psychologist at the Center for Motivation and Change, where she was recognized by her colleagues for patient retention and low no-show rates and led Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups, DBT groups, and process groups.

Jocelyn served on the Board of Directors of Moderation Management for three years, and the Advisory Board of BIGVISION for four - and is committed to helping clients feel less alone by finding meaningful community.

In addition to her role with Freedom Institute, Jocelyn also maintains a private psychotherapy practice.

Clients often come to therapy feeling judged and misunderstood. I have found it deeply meaningful to give clients a compassionate, non-judgmental space which holds their suffering with respect - and allows them to improve their relationship with substances.
